Coventry City fans from Rugby get their own Defib - and 1 for the police vehicle supporting them!

Taking care of the Coventry City FC fans and their friends, Rugby Coventry City Supporters club have worked with OurJay to provide a defibrillator, not only for their coach, but also a second defibrillator for the Dedicated Football Officer from West Midlands Police, Stuart, who travels to home and away games alongside them.

Another huge step in heart safety in sport. There are usually defibrillators available INSIDE football grounds, but cardiac arrest is just as likely to happen outside a ground or travelling to and from a match. The valuable minutes wasted in trying to get through a turnstile, into a ground to retrieve a defibrillator, could be the difference in someone’s survival chances.

We are so grateful to Mark and Sandy, who run the supporters club and thank you to Annie from The Rugby Workers Club, Stuart from WM Police and all the supporters, who got behind this life saving initiative.
