CPR/Defib Information and Awareness drop-in session Rugby
By Naomi Rees Issitt
Well that was a lot busier than we expected!
OurJay teamed up with our brilliant volunteers and St John Ambulance North and East Warwickshire to deliver a public drop in session, to build confidence in the use of CPR and defibrillators at Rugby Theatre Bar this morning and we are just amazed by the amount of people who came to see us!
We’d like to say a big thank you to Mark and all the volunteers at Rugby Theatre Bar, everyone from SJA who gave us their time and knowledge, Kevin Cardiac-Health for his help and support and as always, OurJays wonderful trustees and volunteers, Jem, Trace, Billy, Jack, Abigail, Julie, Mikey and our youngest volunteer for today Alvie (who, aged just 6, absolutely blew us all away with his fantastic CPR and understanding of defibrillators) 💙
This is why it’s so important to spread awareness of the need for vital community accessible defibrillators and bystander CPR, when a cardiac emergency happens. There are so many people out there who want to learn and build confidence in life saving skills and we need to make sure this information is available and accessible to EVERYONE!
We’ll let you know when the next public drop in session is soon 💙🩵💙
Jamie’s legacy gets stronger and stronger, we just wish he was here with us
