Good Morning Britain - Thank you!

By Naomi Rees Issitt

News hero: Good Morning Britain - Thank you!

I’m not even sure where to start…

Today has just been a complete whirlwind. The huge platform of Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls has given Jamie’s Foundation an unbelievable opportunity to raise more awareness, not only around accessible defibrillators, but also around our long running campaign to get defibrillators in all police vehicles across the UK. There are no words that can express how grateful we are to Susanna (her mum), Ed and all the team at GMB for their kindness and support for us and OurJay.

The people behind the scenes are all amazing and we were treated like royalty from start to finish.

Obviously, we are so so hopeful now, that changes will happen…and very very soon. The hard work doesn’t stop now, we have to make sure the campaign continues to Westminster, the Justice Secretary, Chief of Police and anyone who can make the vital life saving changes that we and communities need.

There is a whole team of people behind OurJay and I could not do these things, without the huge support of Jem, Callum, my family and my amazing friends.

But, most of all, Jamie! Our beautiful boy, our hero and inspiration in every second of every day. I feel you my little love, I hear you in my ear, I feel you in every moment and I will never ever stop fighting for the changes that should have been there to save your life. ILYM darling boy. The world would be a better place if it was full of Jamies 💙🩵💙

Sorry to anyone who was upset by our interview today, we never want to see tears and we’ve been so touched by everyone’s thoughts and kindness. We are sending a special virtual hug to

Andi Peters who we know really struggled today, you’re a legend Andi and we send you lots of love 🩵

We are inundated with emails and messages and we will be replying to each and every one of these over the next few days. Thank you for all the kind donations that we have also received since the interview this morning 🕊️🤍🤍💙
