Jack - The first honoury member of OurJay!
By Naomi Rees-Issitt
Today, OurJay presented a very special young man with a very special certificate.
Jack Harbert, has been to a few of OurJays CPR/Defib Info sessions, he has performed unbelievable CPR in all his demos and he has spread a huge amount of awareness for us. Not long ago, you’ll remember that Jack wrote to me via his headteacher, asking if OurJay could go and give a CPR/Defib session at his school, Abbots Farm Junior School, so today myself, Tracey and Jane (St Johns Ambulance, Rugby) went along and gave a session to 260 students, supported by Jack!
Jack stood up in front of the whole school and performed CPR in the most calm and effective way, proving to all his classmates, that anyone can do CPR and try to save a life.
Jack, we are so so proud of you and we look forward to having you at future OurJay events. Jack is now the first official honoury member of OurJay Foundation.
On a personal note, I just want to add that Jack is one of the kindest lads I’ve ever met. He is considerate, thoughtful and caring. Whenever he sees me, he asks how I am, gives me a hug and tells me how much he enjoys working with us. Jack is polite and so well mannered and a real credit to his dad (Tom), his family and his school. Well done Jack, we are so glad we’ve got you beside us. Jamie would’ve loved Jack, he’s just the sort of lad he would’ve been mates with.
