Sometimes it's not the winning that matters - no matter what the sport!

By Naomi Rees Issitt

News hero: Sometimes it's not the winning that matters - no matter what the sport!

Sometimes, it doesn’t matter which sport, it doesn’t matter which team they play for, the score doesn’t count and even the winner is irrelevant!

Making our grassroots sports clubs more heart safe really really matters. Look after your players, look after your coaches and look after your supporters…home and away!

The young players at Old Laurentian RFC under 11’s put themselves through a Wolf Run to raise funds for their OurJay pitchside defibrillator, they are so proud to have raised even more than what was needed, to donate some extra to OurJay, thank you to everyone involved in this mission 💫🏉

Rugby Borough Junior Football Club Pumas under 11’s had some help from one of the mums, Lottie Dunkley (who also works for OurJays charity partner for this year, Brethertons LLP Solicitors) ran the London Landmarks half marathon, raising more than enough for her sons team OurJay pitchside defibrillator. We spoke with the team and they were all happy to start their work with OurJay, in making sure everywhere they travel, people hear about heart safety in sport and pitchside defibrillators 💫⚽️

As always, we all hope these defibrillators are never needed, but we are proud to have worked with both these teams to make them available.

The world would be a better place if it was full of Jamies 💙🩵
