SOPPYXXXX - In association with OurJay Foundation - A short film with Callum in his role as Paramedic!

Possibly one of the most surreal posts we’ve ever shared!

At the end of last year, we were contacted by producer, HollyBeth of SOI Studios (who’d been to Jamie’s J20 Rugby Theatre concert in 2023!). HollyBeth told us about a very important short film that was planned and asked if we’d like to be a part of the film and if the film could be in association with OurJay Foundation! Can you even imagine what was going through my head! OF COURSE YES!

We were so overwhelmed to be asked and unsure what to expect, but not only were we invited down to Finchley Boxing Club (yes, Anthony Joshua’s home boxing club!) but, our Callum was also asked if he’d like to play a part in the film! #SOPPYXXXX

So, myself, Jem, Callum, Trace and Freja all went down to London, for the filming day in January, where we met some incredible actors and an amazing film crew. We were made to feel so welcome and included in the creation of such an impactful project (more info to follow very soon).

We consulted with the director and producer around everything CPR and defibrillator related and sure enough, our Callum totally smashed his first acting role as Paramedic Number 2, alongside his new friend Grace (Paramedic number 1). He was truly brilliant and so so brave, to be able to portray such a hard role for him. I am in awe of Callum and so unbelievably proud of him.

Anyway, the film is coming soon and we are very excited for you all to see it.

At a recent event, we met the owners of Repton Boxing Club (another pinch me moment). We have now donated a defibrillator to Repton Boxing Club, where another very sad cardiac emergency happened a while ago, a very similar situation to what our Jamie and his friends went through, leading to more conversations around the vital need for quick access to defibrillators.
