Supporting O2 with CPR/Defib Information and Awareness

By Naomi Rees Issitt

News hero: Supporting O2 with CPR/Defib Information and Awareness

Headed north, to Warrington, for an OurJay CPR/Defibrillator Information and awareness event.

As you all know, we work closely with Virgin Media/O2, to support them with moving as many of their store defibrillators as possible into OurJay external cabinets, making them 24/7 community accessible. So, today we met with the overall Stores Operations team, to provide our CPR/AED confidence builder session. We’d like to thank you all, for making us all feel so welcome and for your kindness throughout the session. So many good questions and everyone took part in the demonstrations on Chandler, Ross, Phoebe and Janice. We also received an incredible donation of £500 from Virgin Media O2 🫶🏼

This was an extra special session, as we got to meet up with OurJays Trustee (and Jamie’s Aunty) Xavana (Aunty Vanna) and Jamie’s little cousin, Cooper. It was a real team effort, to make sure everyone who took part, left with more knowledge, awareness and most importantly, confident in the use of these life saving skills. Thank you Vanna, Jem and Coops for all your help today (meaning I could also rest my shoulder from doing the CPR for another few days).

We are all so proud to be representing our precious Jamie and making sure that his legacy continues to grow and spread. Talking about Jamie and his foundation are just the best and most vital days. Our emotions sometimes get the better of us but, as Vanna always says, WE’VE GOT THIS! 💙🩵
